Upon graduation, Lucas split the next four years between Bates Architects and J&B Builders, knowing that construction experience would enhance his understanding of design and architecture. While at RWU, a summer internship with Harry Bates brought him to the east end of Long Island where he discovered his appreciation for the custom modern home. It was here that he was introduced to architectural design and soon transferred to Roger Williams University where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture. Originally from the New England area, Lucas began his design career studying Industrial Design at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Lucas joined Stelle Lomont Rouhani Architects in 2004. Since joining the firm, Viola has headed a number of award winning projects. She is a strong advocate of the sustainability of the natural environment and creating a seamless dialogue between architecture and landscape. Focused towards collaboration with clients and consultants alike, Viola seeks to make each project an individual expression tailored to each site and circumstance.

Her prior experience ranges from theater to institutional work, always with an emphasis on design as well as execution. Prior to moving to the east end, Viola practiced architecture in San Francisco and in Manhattan, enjoying practice both as a single practitioner and as part of large architectural teams. Viola graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture/minor in City and Regional Planning, and a Master of Architecture degree. Viola Rouhani joined the firm in 2004, and has a been a partner with Stelle Lomont Rouhani Architects since its inception in 2012. An avid outdoor person he is a sailor, a pilot, and a passionate steward of the communities in which he lives. Stelle is a trustee of the Long Island Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. Since 2010 he has served on the advisory board of the Syracuse University School of Architecture where he has been a visiting critic.Ī long time conservationist, Mr. He is a member of the Peconic Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Stelle shares the design and administrative responsibilities with his partners and collaborates on project design. In 1985 he opened Stelle Architects on the east end of Long Island. Stelle founded his eponymously named office in Manhattan that later became the firm Frederick Stelle/Richard Gluckman Architects. Stelle began his career in the office of Edward Larrabee Barnes where he directed the renovation of the Yale University Old Campus dormitories. He has 40 years of design experience in institutional and residential projects that range from educational campuses, arts facilities, administrative centers, private and multifamily residences. He is the founding partner of Stelle Lomont Rouhani Architects. Frederick Stelle is a graduate of Syracuse University with a B.
